People talking at Chic exhibition China

The autumn edition of Chic China International Fashion Fair, Asia’s largest bi-annual fashion and lifestyle trade show, will take place on 25-27 September 2019.

Hosted at the National Exhibition & Convention Centre in Shanghai, the show will present 698 exhibitors and brands from 10 countries in over 62,000 sq m of exhibition space.

All of the event’s exhibition areas are fully booked.

This includes its four shows-in-show: dedicated kidswear show Chic-Kidz, which successfully launched earlier this year at the March 2019 edition; Chic Young Blood; Chic-Tailoring; and the Korean Preview in China.

Also, its nine trade fair segments: Urban View (menswear); New Look (womenswear); Heritage (leather and fur); Impulses Showroom (design); Fashion Journey (international); Secret Stars (accessories); and Chic Bags & Shoes.

Chic Sustainable Zone

China has been investing more than $370 billion in 16 different sustainability programmes over the past 20 years. Areas of focus include solar energy, low-carbon transportation and also circular economy approaches.

 

Chic exhibition hall

 

Reflecting this growing ecological awareness, the fair’s Sustainable Zone will once again return for autumn. This edition, however, it will be available at two locations; in the Entrance Hall South of the exhibition centre and in the entrance area of the fashion forum.

Highlights include the latest sustainable market developments in fashion and lifestyle as well as environmentally conscious innovations and ecological supply chain solutions. Meetings and shows on recycling, climate leadership, sustainable production and green innovation will also take place.

 

People in Chic exhibition halls

 

Chic Talk sees the trade fair play host to a range of talks covering current trends in the Chinese fashion market. This edition’s topics include ‘Digital Drainage, Reshaping Retail’ and “E-Commerce Purchasing Demand Release”.

CHIC is owned by Beijing Fashion Expo Co. and China World Exhibitions supported by the China National Garment Association, the Sub-Council of the Textile Industry (CCPIT) and the China World Trade Centre.

The autumn show takes place on 25-27 September 2019. The following edition will run on 11-13 March 2020.
