Kids Around launches in St David’s

The St David’s Partnership, owners of retail and leisure destination St David’s in Cardiff, has welcomed a trio of new store openings totalling over 5,000 sq ft.

St David’s marks the first store in Wales for childrenswear retailer Kids Around, who has opened a new 2,185 sq ft shop located on the Lower Ground floor.

Stocking a range of premium and designer childrenswear brands, the new store includes labels such as Hugo Boss, DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld Kids, Little Marc Jacobs, Timberland, Billieblush, Billybandit and Carrément Beau.

British lifestyle retailer Oliver Bonas has also entered the Welsh market, opening a 2,290 sq ft store at St David’s.

Located on the Hayes, the store has been created by an in-house team and stocks a range of fashion, jewellery, homeware and gifts, alongside select featured brands.

Completing the trio is global designer underwear brand CK Underwear, with the launch of a 715 sq ft store located on the Lower Grand Arcade.

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and intu, Colin Flinn, regional managing director – West, says, “This critical mass of regional debuts and openings is fantastic for St David’s. Kids Around, Oliver Bonas and CK Underwear join our premium retail line-up and highlight the centre’s regional draw for retailers and shoppers alike.”

This announcement follows the reopening of Superdry’s refurbished store this autumn, featuring the brand’s first dedicated Superdry Sport entrance in the UK.

St David’s is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and the largest John Lewis outside of London.

The centre is also home to 200 other shops and restaurants, with a particular focus on mixing national and international retailers with premium brands and independents.
