The new a/w 18 collection from childrenswear brand Kite Clothing takes inspiration from story-telling through the eyes of a child.
Collection highlights include a key addition to the brand’s outerwear range in the form of a new Cocoon coat.
The coat, which features a special print inside, is designed to feel lightweight whilst also providing all the necessary warmth needed.
A/w 18 also sees the launch of a new quilted sweatshirt and a sweatshirt dress for toddlers, along with a new style party dress for older girls. The aptly named Fairy dress offers organic cotton jersey next to the skin, alongside a tulle skirt and sequin embellishments.
Kite’s knitwear range also returns, having been extended to include new hats, sets, rompers and jumpers, with intarsia designs, stitch interest, pom-poms and Fair Isle design cardigans all featuring.
In terms of fabrics, this season sees the launch of a ticking stripe denim, which complements the brand’s seasonal array of fabrics such as cord, fleece and jersey.
Commenting on the new a/w 18 offering, Kite’s product director, Jo Spragg, says, “We’ve absolutely loved drawing on our childhood memories of make-believe and letting our imaginations run wild, with the inventiveness that little people are so good at.”
