For a/w 18, Italian luxury fashion label Marni is building on its girlswear offer, Marni Bambina, with the launch of a capsule boyswear collection.
Blues of all shades are key for the boys’ mini collection, as are trousers cut with an oversize fit, knitted intarsia diamond motif cardigans and crew neck pullovers in a mix of vivid colours.
Additionally, prints by artist Magdalena Suarez used for the s/s 18 Marni menswear collection return for the boyswear debut, featuring on T-shirts, sweatshirts, shirts and lightly padded windcheaters.
A/w 18 highlights from the Marni Bambina girlswear collection meanwhile, include bright colours, warm materials and shapes that echo the Marni womenswear collections.
Complete striped looks using combinations of warm colours provide this season’s hero pieces, seen across long ribbed wool/cotton sweaters, midi skirts and cardigans.
Knitwear techniques include a raised, three-dimensional check stitch on pullovers and dresses, alongside two-toned frills applied to crew neck sweaters.
Flowers remain core to Marni’s identity and are scattered across printed flannel for dresses and shirts, as well as a naïve version with contrasting, shiny accents on cotton T-shirts and viscose skirts.
Egg-shape coats in soft, long or short-haired teddy-bear fabric and duffel and double-breasted coats offered in plain or checked woollens also feature.
