Childrenswear buyers across the sector have welcomed the news that live fashion will return to Bubble London this January. The premium children’s trade show – which takes place at Islington’s Business Design Centre on 28-29 January – has confirmed that this coming edition will feature a live fashion runway, featuring the exhibition’s key collections.
“A fashion show is a great way to sit down and see all the new trends pulled together,” says Ruth McPate, owner of Jump Shoes for Kids in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. “We will be taking notes and getting inspiration for the next season, particularly because, as kids’ shoe buyers, it is helpful for us to gain an insight into what the fashion trends will be because the shoes need to complement the outfits. We always attend Bubble because it’s inspirational, motivational and boutique-led, and we look forward to seeing what lies ahead for kids’ fashion next season.”
Fellow childrenswear buyer Niamh Mitton agrees that the runway will be a positive addition to the event. “I think this is a wonderful idea,” says the buyer at Shortstitch, a London-based styling service for childrenswear shoppers. “This will really help to generate interest in a brand that we may have previously ignored, and the shows will really magnify the key trends for the season.”
The Bubble runway will showcase key seasonal looks for children, put together from key labels at the exhibition. Find out how to get your brand involved here.
