Girl holing shoe for Sal’s Shoes charity

Sal’s Shoes’ doors are open once again for donations of children’s shoes of all types and sizes. The charity welcomes school shoes, trainers, flip flops, wellies, boots, football boots and even slippers; as long as they are outgrown but not outworn, the charity can find them new feet.

In the first five years of operation, Sal’s Shoes has collected and distributed 1,000,000 pairs of shoes to children without access to safe footwear.

In 2019, the charity’s sixth year of operation, it is on target to collect and distribute 500,000 pairs of shoes this year alone.  It also now distributes in 43 countries worldwide. This includes the UK, due to a marked increase in requests for footwear following a rise in poverty levels.

Each pair of shoes, together with a £1 donation to fund its journey, will find a new life on new feet.

As in the UK, education is state-funded in many countries, but school uniform is mandatory. However, without school shoes, a child simply cannot attend.

By donating shoes to these children, the gift is so much more than just footwear; it is access to an education that could change the course of their futures.

Throughout September, donations of shoes can be posted to Sal’s Shoes, Easistore, Enterprise Way, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 6HF.  Shoe donations will also be available during the month of November.

Monetary donations can be made to the charity at any time. Corporate donations are very gratefully received and donors can contact cj@salsshoes.com to discuss details.
