British clothing brand Smalls, which offers fully traceable merino essentials for children aged 0-14 years, is offering an expanded range for s/s 18.

Highlights include the Au Natural line, which is made from unbleached, dye-free, super-washed 100 per cent superfine merino, featuring a new fluoro yellow stitch across a variety of styles.

Blue Steel is the new colour of the season, with the dusky blue shade available across the entire Smalls range from baby up to 13-14 years.

Meanwhile, in response to customer demand, the Smalls Oma Romper T-shirt will also be extended up to age 5-6 years

Commenting on the collection’s developments and the increase in consumer awareness of merino, Smalls co-founder, Emma-Jane Adam, says, “Merino brands such as Smalls in the fashion and sports markets have contributed to a huge leap in consumer understanding of superfine and mid-layer merino as a year ‘round staple. S/s 17 saw our very first summer collection launch and at a recent event in London, in 30 degree weather, we experienced record sales. Increased market knowledge and awareness of merino has given us the confidence to continue with our summer styles for s/s 18.”

Fellow Smalls co-founder, Cat Pharo, adds, ““Smalls is at the forefront of the movement for wearing merino year ‘round, worn for centuries from cold climates to extreme heats. A merino sheep grows a new fleece each year, making it a completely renewable fibre source without the environmental impacts of other so called eco or “organic” fabrics.”

In other news, November will mark further growth for Smalls, with the launch of a debut adult capsule range.
