Three pupils stood against a black door wearing school uniform by 1880 Club

At this year’s Schoolwear Show, Douglas and Grahame’s schoolwear brand, 1880 Club, will present its 2024 collection with increased use of recycled fabric. In a step towards a more sustainable future, the 100% polyester blazer range will now contain 51% recycled polyester. The recycled polyester does not compromise the quality of the garment and provides a lower carbon footprint than virgin polyester.

By exploring alternative fibres and using a greater proportion of recycled fabrics in its garments, the company is working towards reducing its environmental impact and promoting a more sustainable fashion industry.

Other developments for 1880 Club include the addition of Elastane to the Evalast range of blazers, trousers and skirts. Elastane offers unparalleled stretchiness compared to many other fabrics alongside shape retention and added comfort, flexibility, breathability and durability.
