After the success of Business Live’s first Health and Wellbeing event, which took place last year at Bannatyne Health Club and Spa, Milton Keynes, Business Live UK’s founder and CEO, Victoria Beale, is bringing the event back in virtual form for 2021.

Speaking about the event, Beale says; “Over 90 HR managers, business owners and hiring managers attended the first Business Live Health and Wellbeing event. Having seen what a success that event was, given the times we’re all living through right now, and the importance of health and wellbeing to us all, I’ve decided to run the events as virtual events regularly throughout 2021.

“HR, hiring managers, health and wellness experts and business owners – in fact, anyone concerned about their employees’ mental health and wellbeing – are more than welcome to join us for an event packed full of incredible speakers who are all acknowledged leaders in their field.”

Sponsors of the virtual event are Smart Recruit Online (SRO), Corpwell UK and Document Logistix.

CEO and founding director of SRO, Mark Stephens, also comments. “SRO is pleased to be associated with this event. We know that businesses which take a proactive approach to wellness and mental health attract and retain the best talent. Individuals that receive genuine support from their employers are also more productive and take far fewer sick days.

“From a commercial perspective, investing in wellness and mental health typically provides a four times return on investment, whilst simultaneously creating a caring culture that people want to be a part of.”

Co-sponsors and partners to Business Live UK, Corpwell UK, adds; “We look forward to running a series of these events to educate and inspire businesses to take action. Now more than ever companies need to step up and take more responsibility for the wellbeing of their staff.

“Learning from industry experts and professionals and getting access to the wide range of products and services at these events should ensure that more companies take action and do something positive to make the world of work a better place.”

Speakers at the event include:
  • Arran Stewart, founder and CVO of job.com, who is also a NASDAQ contributor and expert in resilience and leadership.
  • Navrita Atwal, CEO of the Equality Council UK and an expert on diversity and equality.
  • Emilie Barlow, senior sales manager at Document Logistix, will speak on remote working software.
  • Mark Glenister, volunteer manager, My Black Dog, an expert in mental health and suicide prevention.
  • Jon Manning, founder, Arthur Ellis Mental Health, will speak on corporate mental health and wellness.
  • Daryl Woodhouse, founder of ABP, MFP and Bright Starts Group, will speak on mental fitness and productivity.
  • Michael Stephens, founder of Create Space and Corpwell UK, will speak on the topic of resilience.
  • Ravi Summan, founder and CEO of Ravi Summan Wellness. A global keynote speaker and presenter for the Sikh Channel, Summan works with private individuals and corporate companies to enable individuals and staff to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Also commenting on the virtual event is co-sponsor Emilie Barlow, senior sales manager, Document Logistix.

“Document Logistix is excited to be part of this event. I am a huge advocate of mental health and fitness. I can’t emphasise strongly enough the importance of incorporating daily exercise into your work routine; especially now, when many of us are working from home.

“Taking some time for yourself and ensuring a great work-life balance is becoming easier now as we don’t need to commute and do the school runs etc. Ensuring businesses have the right technology in place for their remote staff is also absolutely key during this pandemic.

“Gone are the days when people take piles of paperwork home. Now we need to talk about compliance, remote working best practice and information access and security. I’ll be touching on just this subject during the event and, as a company, we’re very much looking forward to it.”

Beale concludes; “I’m exceptionally pleased by the line-up of speakers we’ve confirmed for this, our first virtual Health and Wellbeing event for 2021. My genuine hope is that it helps businesses of all shapes and sizes to be better equipped to help themselves and their staff concerning this vitally important topic.”

The event, which is free to attend, runs from 10am-4pm on Thursday 25 February 2021. Bookings can be made here.
