When 50-year-old Kirsty Sidgreaves became a mum, she realised climbing the corporate ladder was not going to fit in with her new family. Dartmoor-based Sidgreaves, originally from Scotland, had another dream. To set up her own business; designing and selling quality clothing for children aged 0-4 years that is practical, fun and made in Britain.
“I loved being at home with my son, but my brain was still brimming with creative ideas,” says Kirsty Sidgreaves. “I knew I had the skill and determination to create something special. Finding good quality British made children’s clothes was such a challenge. So, I got out my sketchbook, and set about designing my own. This was when Sid & Tumble was born.”
The clothes are designed around one ethos; to look great, allow children to move, and to feel soft on the skin.
Joining forces with Makers HQ in Plymouth has enabled Sid & Tumble to achieve the ‘Made in Britain’ registered collective mark to show the products are designed and made by a British company.
The Sid & Tumble range of occasionwear is designed especially for busy children, offering freedom of movement while looking chic and stylish. Sid & Tumble clothing is also handmade, versatile and fun, and can also be mixed and matched.
Sidgreaves concludes; “My aim is to bring British Made designer clothes into the lives of as many children as possible. Using the best quality fabrics and vibrant designs, I have created a range of luxury clothes for boys and girls to enjoy wearing during the all-important first years of their lives.”
