Promperú, a government promotion agency that supports the international growth of Peruvian companies, will launch four children’s brands at INDX Kids on 29-30 January 2023.
Peru is known for both its fabrics – Pima cotton and Baby Alpaca – and a distinctive love of colour. The country has also pioneered cooperative artisan manufacturing, empowering groups of women who live in small communities in rural Peru.
Furthermore, the garments are truly handmade. Pima cotton is naturally organic and harvested by hand. Pieces are also trimmed, embroidered and knitted by hand. The four brands making their debut at INDX Kids are:
Adriana Mae
This babywear collection offers pastel colours, delicate trims, hand embroideries, tiny prints and hand smocking. Garments are made in soft, naturally organic Pima cotton.
Plumas
Plumas’ children’s nightwear and bedding ranges make bedtime a joy. The brand works with the very best fabrics including Pima cotton and linen and has full Oeko-Tex certification.
KusiKusi
Autumnal colours in Baby Alpaca, Merino wool and Pima cotton feature for this season’s knitwear collection. From baby through to adult sizes, the knits bring a feeling of luxury to the collection.
Petit Voyageur
Inspired by cultures and traditions around the world, this collection tells a story. For a/w 23 it begins in Holland, with warm textured jackets in a rainbow of colours featuring organic Pima cotton and Baby Alpaca.
