Sam Tyack head of sales at Ickle Bubba

Nursery Brand Ickle Bubba has appointed Sam Tyack as its new head of sales. Bringing over seven years’ experience to his new role, Tyack boasts a wealth of knowledge across multiple nursery categories.

Having worked his way up from an account manager to head of sales during his six-year stint at the Green Sheep Group, Tyack went on to spend a further 18 months working as the sales director for the Belgian brand, Trixie.

There he was responsible for launching its range of wooden toys, bags and soft toys into the UK market. With great success, he onboarded the brand with three major national retailers as well as multiple independent stores across the country.

In his new role at Ickle Bubba, Tyack will be supporting the omnichannel growth of the brand, focusing on the UK market as a starting point.

Initially, he will be undertaking a review of distribution, engaging partners in Ickle Bubba’s three to five-year plan. This will ensure the brand is not only represented effectively but that its retail partnerships are supported efficiently, ensuring relationships are built, taking them from strength to strength within the UK market.

Drawing on his knowledge and passion, Tyack will be the driving force to roll out the next steps to hit the brand’s overriding goals for expansion. “I have loved working in the nursery industry over the last seven years,” says Tyack.

“So, to continue in this sector with Ickle Bubba is extremely exciting. Those that know me will already be aware that I like to bring a sense of life and energy to my work. I’m really impressed with the emphasis on people here and I’d like to ensure I’m supporting this.
