Exterior of The Schoolwear Show venue

CWB takes a look at what’s in store for this year’s Schoolwear Show, which takes place at Cranmore Park in Solihull on 8-9 October.

Many exhibitors use The Schoolwear Show to showcase new products and innovations, and visitors at this year’s event can expect to see previews of forthcoming launches alongside familiar core products. The exhibition also provides retailers with the opportunity to meet current suppliers in person, discover new suppliers, and plan their Back to School campaign effectively. So, if you are an independent schoolwear retailer, don’t miss out.

The key themes visitors will encounter this year are durability, innovation and price. With the current cost of living crisis, the industry is seeing a competitiveness with price in the market. Garment decorators will also find the show useful. As well as established garment decorator brands, expect to see other exhibitors showcasing new in-house capabilities. It’s an exciting time for the sector, with plenty of fresh ideas breathing new life into the industry.

In addition, The Schoolwear Show is bringing back its seminar programme this year, which is sure to provide valuable information and opportunity for discussion amongst retailers. The Schoolwear Association will be leading a talk on the Uniform Bill, and there will be a Q&A panel featuring retailers from various parts of the country. There is a reassurance that comes with hearing first-hand experiences from other independent retailers. The Q&A sessions have been designed to allow visitors to learn from each other and leave feeling inspired and ready to embark on another successful Back to School season.

Sharing learnings and participating in peer-to-peer support is what makes the schoolwear industry thrive, so don’t miss out on this chance to learn and connect with others in the industry.

Visitor incentives

Visitors to this year’s Schoolwear Show will also have exclusive access to a new range of show-specific incentives. Over the two-day event, exhibitors will be individually promoting offers to visitors, including unique prices and discounts that will only be available to those attending the show.

Another visitor benefit this year will be the introduction of a networking event at Cranmore Park on Sunday 8 October. Sponsored by a group of exhibitors and taking place at 5pm immediately after the show closes, the gathering will include refreshments and is the ideal opportunity for visitors to network and unwind.
