Three children stood outside in snow wearing Penguin Snowsuits by Isbjorn of Sweden

Sustainable outdoor kids’ brand Isbjörn of Sweden’s bluesign® approved Penguin Snowsuit has won the prestigious Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test) award for the eleventh time running. Once again, the snowsuit is the overall Bäst-i-Test winner in the Premium category, with its “excellent waterproofness, comfort and durability” highlighted by a panel comprising parents, teachers and the child testers themselves.

The snowsuit mixes durability and functionality with sustainable fabrics, such as 100% recycled PrimaLoft insulation for thermal performance without the bulk, and fluorocarbon-free Bionic Finish Eco durable water repellent treatment.

The circularity of the Penguin Snowsuit was one of the key factors highlighted.

Durability and functionality impressed the panel, with parents praising the snowsuit’s long-lasting value and high performance. The second-hand value was also highlighted, with parents commenting that it looked “brand new” after the winter season.

Parents of the children who participated in the five-month-long testing process collectively comment: “It was wonderful to see our children dress themselves in the easy-to-use and practically designed Penguin Snowsuit before heading outdoors. But it was in the cold winter conditions that this durable and functional snowsuit came into its own. Our children remained warm, dry and protected, as they enjoyed playing outdoors for prolonged periods in sub-zero temperatures and snowy conditions.

“Penguin has all the necessary design features, from snow cuffs and water-resistant zippers to its flexible fit and sustainable fabrics that resist dirt, which means minimum washing. This indestructible snowsuit offers top-class quality and durability at the highest level and our children remained warm and cosy outdoors, with no water leakage to be found once they were back inside.”

Also commenting is Maria Frykman, founder and CEO of Isbjörn of Sweden.

“Once again, our highly durable and abrasion-resistant Penguin Snowsuit is recognised for its unparalleled performance during winter months. This prestigious independent endorsement from Bäst-i-Test is a testament to Penguin’s performance and longevity for each child and the many children who enjoy it afterwards.

“Penguin’s value on the second-hand market continues to rise and it has become one of the most sought-after winter products for children, as parents recognise its true long-lasting worth.”
