Learning through play toy brand, Edx Education, has launched the The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First range. The new educational toy collection has been created with Penguin Ventures, which represents The World of Eric Carle™ consumer products rights in the UK&IRE.

Making its debut at London Toy Fair 2025, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First range combines the timeless charm of Eric Carle’s story with Edx Education’s expertise in early childhood education. The result is a synergy of storytelling and playful learning experiences that will resonate with parents, educators and children alike.

The collection launches with four products that encourage sensory exploration, fine motor skill development, and early learning through play.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First Rainbow Pebbles bring sorting, counting and design skills to life through tactile, open-ended play. This exclusively designed set features art from the classic story that encourages children to build structures and develop essential fine motor skills. These versatile tools introduce early math concepts, including patterning and shapes, while nurturing creativity. The set includes 12 colourful pebbles and six activity cards.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First Stamp Art Designed introduces children to creativity and mindful play. Ideal for developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, the set encourages confidence and self-expression through imaginative art and design. The set includes six vibrant inkpads and an activity booklet.

 

 

Meanwhile, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First String Art helps improve hand-eye coordination and nurtures creativity, while introducing children to basic artistic techniques. Children can recreate characters from The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ storybook or create their own designs and patterns. The set fosters problem-solving and patterning skills while combining STEAM learning with imaginative play. It includes two baseboards, eight laces, two string pens and six activity cards for endless creative possibilities.

Finally, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ My First Construction Cubes allow children to explore early math concepts and develop problem-solving skills. The vibrant, stackable cubes tie into the iconic story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ theme, blending STEAM learning with imaginative play. The set includes 27 colourful cubes and six activity cards and supports cognitive development and early numeracy skills.
