Childrenswear brand Pepa London has unveiled a new limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity that cares for sites including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace.

Honouring royal childhood and the timeless traditions of British ceremonial dress, the Pepa London x Historic Royal Palaces capsule collection will be available this July at pepalondon.com, Pepa London stores in Belgravia and Palm Beach, and via a dedicated pop-up space in Harrods in Knightsbridge.

A union of heritage, design and storytelling, this limited-edition collaboration invites families to dress their children not only in beautiful clothes but in living history.

The collaboration was born from the opportunity to explore the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, which is cared for by Historic Royal Palaces at Hampton Court Palace. With almost 10,000 items dating from the 16th century to today, this nationally important collection reveals not only the grandeur of royal life but its more intimate, personal details reflected in everything from state robes and gilded coronets to hand-stitched nursery garments.

Among the pieces were a pair of matching Liberty print floral cotton dresses worn by Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret in the 30s. These pieces now feature in the Dress Codes exhibition running at Kensington Palace until 30 November 2025 and serve as a direct reference point for several pieces in the collection.

Commenting is Pepa London founder and creative director, Pepa González.

“To see these dresses up close, to witness the craftsmanship and sentimental value stitched into their seams, was a privilege. We wanted to take those memories of gardens, giggles and childhood rituals and reimagine them through our own lens of British elegance and craftsmanship.”

Alongside the archival-inspired florals and delicate pastel palettes sits Royal Mariner, Pepa London’s most elevated nautical capsule to date. Rooted in the tradition of children’s sailor suits made popular by Queen Victoria’s children, the mariner pieces have been reimagined with crisp structured cotton, gold piping and sharp tailoring. Elsewhere, soft organza layering adds lightness and grace, reminiscent of the formalwear found in royal portraiture. Each piece is also finished with Pepa London’s signature hand smocking, carried out by skilled artisans in family-run ateliers.

A portion of proceeds from this collection will support Historic Royal Palaces, which receives no regular government or Crown funding. As well as caring for six of the UK’s most iconic royal landmarks, the organisation is also the custodian of the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, a designated national collection of clothing worn at the royal court or by members of the royal family.
