Schoolwear brand Trutex has released its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report. Now in its fourth edition, the report highlights a year of impactful work across communities, sustainability initiatives, and responsible manufacturing practices.
Trutex’s promise of Nurture the Future is grounded in over 160 years of commitment, demonstrating how businesses in the fashion and textile industry can play a meaningful role in building a more ethical and environmentally responsible future.
Ethical Manufacturing & Transparency
Trutex has maintained its strong ethical manufacturing standards by reducing the environmental impact of producing its garments and improving the lives of those it touches throughout the supply chain. This is central to the business strategy, and guided by the Nurture the Future Pledge, the brand ensures fair wages, safe working environments and zero tolerance for child and forced labour.
Trutex products continue to be made in certified factories and are committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which align with an internationally recognised blueprint for sustainable practices. The brand is also a member of the Slave Free Alliance and Sedex, and within the past year, has achieved full membership status with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), a significant milestone that further demonstrates the company’s commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

Innovation in Sustainability: RE-VIVE and RE:FORM
All Trutex garments are Made to Last, with each garment held to the highest standards and quality control testing, made to be worn, stand the test of this wear, and be passed on. Trutex is committed to always striving for the best quality solution with sustainability in mind, shown with the growth of the brand’s RE-VIVE range, a fabric made from 100% recycled polyester, developed as part of the company’s wider sustainability strategy.
Every item in the RE-VIVE collection (including blazers, trousers and skirts) is made using recycled polyester derived from certified post-consumer plastic bottles. RE-VIVE gives schools and families the opportunity to choose more environmentally responsible uniforms without compromising on quality or durability.
Alongside RE:VIVE, the ranges also include additional sustainable materials such as Teflon Eco-Elite, sustainably sourced Viscose and responsibly sourced cotton. The recently launched RE:FORM is a circular schoolwear initiative designed to help families and reduce environmental impact by further extending the life of the garments.
Through collection points at schools and retailers, parents can donate pre-loved uniforms, which are then laundered, quality-checked and resold at up to 50% off the RRP. RE:FORM also offers flexible payment options, with the cost of garments split across a whole year, making uniform more affordable and sustainable for families.
Trutex has also been a carbon-neutral organisation since 2012, the first schoolwear company in the UK to receive this status.
However, the work is far from over, in the coming year Trutex aims to expand the RE-VIVE range across more product categories; deepen partnerships with schools, local authorities and charities to offer targeted support; continue its commitment to carbon neutrality and reduction of single use plastic use; and continue to promote ethical sourcing and responsible production across the supply chain.
Commenting is Matthew Easter, Group CEO. “Our CSR work is not a side project; it’s part of how we run our business. Whether that’s reducing plastic waste, supporting our communities, or ensuring ethical working conditions in our supply chain, we take our responsibility seriously. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in 2025, but we’re even more excited about where we’re headed.”
