A free, expert-led webinar from testing, inspection and certification company, SGS, will offer insights into the evolving EU toy safety landscape and upcoming standard updates. The live webinar, titled ‘Navigating the New EU Toy Safety Standards: What You Need to Know’, will take place on 2 December 2025.

The European Commission’s Standardisation Request requires the adoption of revised toy safety standards by October 2025. As a result, nearly all EN 71 standards and EN 62115 have been updated or are scheduled for revision. These changes range from minor clarifications to new requirements that could affect toys already on the market.

Staying informed about these developments is essential for toy manufacturers, designers and importers to maintain compliance and product safety.

This webinar will provide a clear overview of the latest and upcoming updates, their regulatory context, and practical implications for toy design, testing and conformity assessment. During the session, SGS experts Sanda Stefanovic and HingWo Tsang will outline the current status of harmonisation, expected changes in EN 71 and EN 62115, and the evolving framework for presumption of conformity.

This event is suitable for toy designers, product line managers and quality assurance professionals seeking practical insight into the next phase of EU toy safety standardisation. Attendees will gain practical guidance on preparing for implementation and can also participate in a live Q&A.
