On 20 January, testing, inspection and certification company, SGS, is hosting a complimentary webinar titled Understanding the New EU Toy Safety Regulation. This webinar is for manufacturers, suppliers, quality assurance managers, retailers, designers, importers, online platforms, and all stakeholders involved in toys intended for the EU market.

The EU’s Official Journal publication of the Toy Safety Regulation (TSR) on 12 December 2025 marked the beginning of major changes for businesses selling toys. Defining these products as those intended for play, whether or not exclusively, for children under 14, the TSR is a major overhaul and codification of the existing Toy Safety Directive. Manufacturers, retailers and importers must be aware of their new obligations under the TSR to ensure they can sell their products legally and safely in EU markets.

In this webinar, presenters Sanda Stefanovic and Dr HingWo Tsang will look in detail at the elements of the new TSR that will most affect businesses. Namely, the introduction of the Digital Product Passport to enhance traceability and reduce product recalls, and the introduction of chemical restrictions.

With further information on transitional provisions, this webinar provides practical compliance strategies and solutions for uninterrupted market access. For further information and to register your place, please click here.
