CWB editor Laura Turner selects five must-have children’s collections to get in store, from fashion and accessories through to activewear.
01: Kindred
Launched to trade at Playtime Paris this season, Kindred (pictured above) is owned by Kids 21, a division of the Singapore-based Como Group. The brand’s distinctive pieces are crafted from the softest organic materials by an international team, with influences from Singapore, London and the USA. The aesthetic is defined by modern, relaxed silhouettes: timeless, seasonless garments designed for year-round wear, with a focus on gender-neutral styles. For babies aged 0 to 24 months, there are cotton jersey bodies and sleep suits, various sets, pram suits, and muslins. For children aged 2 to 12 years, highlights include dresses, knitwear, jackets, and an array of mix-and-match separates.

02: Halcyon Nights
Spotted in the Pirouette Edit at the Fuse press day, Halcyon Nights is an Australian brand inspired by the colourful imaginations of founder Kym Purtell and her two daughters. What began as whimsical kitchen-table sketches has grown into a global label of wearable art brought to life in collaboration with talented artists from Australia and around the world. Pieces for newborns to six years feature prints ranging from UFOs and dinosaurs to rainbow peaks, crafted for comfort in woven, knitted and jersey fabrics. New highlights include photographic knits, airy wovens, and GOTS-certified organic jersey. Halcyon Nights also prioritises recycled packaging, inclusive pricing, and quality that’s made to be cherished and shared.

03: Playing Out
Launched in November by husband and wife Liam Campbell and Sadie Clayton, Playing Out brings a new perspective to childrenswear. Inspired by the founders’ own childhood memories, free from phones and full of adventure, the brand celebrates messy, mischievous, unfiltered moments and learning through play. The mission is to offer parents an alternative – clothes that can withstand the rough-and-tumble of real life while invoking a warm sense of nostalgia. The debut collection’s hero piece is the KYC Boiler Suit – a water resistant, durable overall designed to slip comfortably over everyday clothes – with a rain poncho and vibrant T-shirts and hats to follow.

Founded in 2025 by Jennifer and Ben Donnelly, Svante sets a new standard in children’s activewear, combining style, comfort and sustainability. The brand crafts garments free from toxins and chemicals, all ethically and sustainably made. Throughout the collection, it uses natural plant-based materials, certified water-based dyes, and organic cotton labels and thread. Blending comfort with classic, sporty vibes, the first collection for 4 to 15 years includes girls’ sports leggings and matching tops, boys’ sports T-shirts and shorts, and cosy joggers, hoodies and T-shirts. Through wholesale partnerships, Svante is keen to make its natural activewear available to retailers.

05: Bluebell Petite
Bluebell Petite offers a collection of accessories and dress-up items defined by a magical combination of vibrant rainbows and muted, gentle pastels, glitter, and whimsical fantasy motifs, including mermaids, rainbows and clouds. The brand began in 2020, selling direct to consumers, but is launching its first wholesale collection for spring/summer this January. The handcrafted accessories for 3 to 10 years range from brilliantly bold and fantastical to refined and softly elegant.
