Little Simon UK, the preschool and novelty imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Books, has acquired Magic Milestones, the brand-new series from child behavioural expert and inventor of My Carry Potty, Amanda Jenner.

Isobel Booth, Editorial Director of Preschool and Novelty, bought world rights in four books from Lorna Hemingway at Darley Anderson, and Preschool & Novelty Art Director Mara Van Der Meer secured artwork by award-winning illustrator Ailie Busby from Georgia Tournay-Godfrey at the Bright Agency.

The character-led series will follow Mory Mouse, a magical friend who’s always there to help little ones as they tackle big milestones. Launching with Ready for My Potty in June 2026 and followed by further titles covering important toddler first experiences, including Ready for Bed in March 2027, the chunky hardbacks will feature sliding pull-tabs revealing stars on every page to reward and reassure children as they tackle new challenges.

Isobel Booth says, “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Amanda Jenner to the Little Simon list. Her expertise in all the joys and challenges of toddler behaviour knows no bounds. We’re thrilled to be bringing this to parents everywhere with her Magic Milestones series. The books are a reassuring, playful and effective way to approach everyday routines and major milestones, armed with Amanda’s expertise, Ailie Busby’s artwork, and just a pinch of magic.’

Also commenting is Amanda Jenner.

“I’m beyond excited to announce my new book series with the incredible team at Simon & Schuster Children’s Books and the brilliant Ailie Busby. This project is so close to my heart. Mory was created to help little ones through the big (and sometimes wobbly) milestones of growing up.

“We wanted to see this journey through little eyes, and Mory does just that. It’s a joy to bring comfort, confidence, and a little magic to children as they navigate their early experiences, and I can’t wait for families to meet Mory and join in the magical journey.”
