The Baby Products Industry Association (BPIA) has opened entries for the BPIA Awards 2026, sponsored by Nursery Today, celebrating excellence across the baby products sector.
Industry experts, rather than consumers alone, judge the BPIA Awards. They assess products for quality, safety, functionality, marketability and consumer desirability, offering meaningful recognition that resonates with retailers, buyers and industry decision-makers alike.
Retailers and buyers actively seek out products carrying the BPIA Awards logo (formerly the BANTAs) when selecting ranges, recognising the Awards as a trusted mark of industry endorsement.
Julie Milne, general manager of the BPIA, says, “The BPIA Awards have long been respected and coveted by manufacturers and suppliers because they are judged by industry specialists with a wealth of hands-on experience.
“This year’s judging panel includes representatives from independent and multiple retailers, industry trade media, marketing specialists, and product safety experts across each category. With this breadth of expertise, we are confident the products recognised will represent genuine quality, value for money, and sound choices for parents and carers.”
Adding even greater value in 2026
Bringing additional purpose to the Awards is BPIA’s partnership with Newlife, the charity dedicated to changing what it means to grow up with a disability in the UK. With 1 in 9 children living with a disability – and 2 in 5 lacking essential equipment – Newlife provides life-changing items such as wheelchairs, specialist beds, buggies and car seats.
As part of this partnership, Newlife will receive all shortlisted products submitted for judging to aid its vital fundraising efforts. The charity will process these products to an agreed standard, remove any branding, and then sell them at discounted prices through its online store and 10 UK retail outlets. This approach raises crucial funds and gives the products a meaningful second life.
“Many awards programmes are unable to return products due to the cost and logistics involved,” adds Milne. “By donating entered products to such a worthwhile cause, the BPIA Awards support corporate responsibility while adding tangible value for the companies entering.”
