A display of luxury nursery interiors and furniture in Harrods baby and nursery department

A year after joining Harrods’ Fourth Floor in its Baby and Nursery Department, The Baby Cot Shop has deepened its presence, working with private clients, interior designers and families from across the globe to create considered nursery spaces.

Founded in Chelsea in 2008 by Toks Aruoture, The Baby Cot Shop has spent nearly two decades establishing itself as London’s foremost authority on luxury nursery design. The brand specialises in handcrafted, made-to-order furniture and fully bespoke nursery interiors, with each project developed from initial consultation through to final installation, and every piece crafted to the client’s specification.

The Baby Cot Shop’s move to Harrods marked a natural extension of that reputation.

Since joining the Fourth Floor, the brand has attracted international clients, including families from the Gulf and Middle East buying London properties, private clients commissioning nurseries, and interior designers seeking reliable partners for high-end family projects. For many of these clients, Harrods represents both a destination and a guarantee of quality, and The Baby Cot Shop’s presence within it carries that same assurance.

Demand over the past year has reflected a broader evolution in how families approach the nursery. Where once a cot and a wardrobe sufficed, clients today arrive with a considered vision, asking not just for furniture but for spaces designed to grow with a child, anchored in quality that endures. The Baby Cot Shop’s response to that demand remains unchanged: a made-to-order process built around the individual, drawing on European craftsmanship and an extensive palette of finishes, fabrics and bespoke configurations.

Commenting is Josie Gardner, Harrods Head of Buying – Childrenswear.

“Our aim has always been to curate a truly exceptional offering across every category, and this partnership adds a new layer of bespoke craftsmanship to an already outstanding edit. When I met Toks, I was immediately struck by her vision – rooted in quality, creativity and care. The Baby Cot Shop brings something beautifully unique to our world, and we’re thrilled to be on this journey together.”

Toks Aruoture, founder of The Baby Cot Shop, adds, “The nursery is often the most emotionally significant room a family will ever design. What we’ve seen over this past year at Harrods is that families, wherever they’re from, want that room to be genuinely beautiful, genuinely personal, and built to last. That’s what we’ve always done. Harrods has simply introduced us to more of the people who understand why it matters.”

The brand’s Chelsea boutique remains its flagship, and its work extends beyond private residential projects to include institutional commissions, among them its longstanding partnership with the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, one of the most celebrated maternity units in the world.
