With fresh designs for 2026 and 2027, children’s accessories brand Roamie is giving schoolwear retailers plenty of reasons to look beyond the traditional schoolwear offer.
Created by William Turner, the business behind a long-established portfolio of schoolwear accessories, Roamie has been designed to appeal to children and parents while giving retailers an easy-to merchandise range that works alongside existing schoolwear collections.
The idea is simple: fun, coordinated accessories that children will want to use, parents will find practical, and retailers can sell as part of the wider schoolwear journey. Backpacks, lunch bags and water bottles all have an obvious connection to the school day, but they’re just as useful for days out, clubs, sleepovers, holidays and trips.
That makes the collection particularly useful for retailers looking to encourage those extra purchases. Matching designs make it easy for families to put together a complete set, while smaller-ticket items such as bottles and lunch bags offer plenty of opportunities for add-on and impulse sales.
Roamie can sit comfortably alongside uniform, school shoes and PE kit, but there’s also scope to bring it into stationery, gifts or children’s clothing. It’s a simple way to add a little more colour and personality to the shop floor without moving away from the retailer’s core schoolwear offer.

New designs for 2026 and 2027
Roamie has continued to grow throughout 2026, with four new designs joining the collection: Mini Monsters, Game On, Cherry Sweet and Little Love. There’s something to suit a range of tastes, from bold graphics and gaming-inspired designs to sweeter novelty themes and softer, more decorative prints.
The aim is to give children more choice while keeping the products practical enough for everyday use. And there’s more to come. Four new designs for 2027 – Pawsome, Happy Trails, Woodland Fairies and Bunny Tales – will be available to retailers from November 2026.
The timing gives stockists a chance to use the new designs for Christmas gifting and winter displays, as well as getting ahead with their plans for the next Back to School season. The four designs will also be showcased at The Schoolwear Show on 11–12 October 2027, giving visitors the chance to see the latest additions alongside the wider Roamie collection.

More than just Back to School
Although school is at the heart of the range, Roamie isn’t limited to one busy period of the retail calendar. Spring can provide an opportunity to refresh displays around outdoor adventures and new-term essentials, while summer lends itself to days out, holidays and nursery preparation. Autumn naturally returns the focus to Back to School, before the Christmas season opens up opportunities for gifting.
That flexibility means retailers can keep the collection visible throughout the year rather than treating it as a seasonal-only purchase. Roamie also gives retailers plenty of freedom in how they present it. A dedicated display can bring the different designs together and create a strong visual statement.
To help with this, William Turner has introduced a new in-store merchandising guide, offering practical ideas around product grouping, display and presentation.
