ASEPRI, with the support of the Economic and Commercial of Spain in Mexico and ICEX Spain Trade & Investments, held its first showroom in Mexico City on 26 November to promote and generate business opportunities for Spanish children’s brands.
Mexico is the second most important market for Spanish children’s fashion and footwear exports. It currently leads international sales in the non-European market, with a 9% share. A key market for Spanish fashion, Mexico is also the gateway for the country’s operators to the American continent.
The international expansion of Spanish brands often involves opening in the country’s department stores, such as the Palacio de Hierro department store, where brands such as Boboli, Foque, Igor and PAZ Rodríguez operate. Or Liverpool, a department chain with 120 stores, with the presence of the Tutto Piccolo and Mayoral brands.
Eleven leading Spanish children’s brands participated in the event.
The showroom allowed Mexican customers to view the collections and designs of Spanish brands in children’s fashion, footwear and baby accessories. In terms of children’s fashion, there was Boboli, Foque, Juliana, Mac Ilusión, Lilulila and the Boboli Chic line. Representing footwear made in Spain were Pisamonas and Ria Menorca. Finally, childcare also had its space thanks to Bimbidreams, My Little One by Naáy, Pasito A Pasito and Walking Mum.
ASEPRI has launched a microsite where you can learn more about all the brands that exhibited their products in the showroom in Mexico City.
