The BIBS Baby Glass Bottle has been awarded a Red Dot in Product Design. The Red Dot Award, an international design competition established in 1955, honours the most outstanding work in product, brand and communication design. A jury of 43 professionals representing 20 nations chose a small portion of the entries that best embody the guiding theme.
The BIBS Baby Glass Bottle is based on a mix-and-match concept.
Thanks to separately available sets, it can be used in combination with different nipples and colours without having to buy a new bottle. The natural rubber nipple also imitates the mother’s nipple and thus promotes natural breastfeeding.
The bottle, meanwhile, is made of borosilicate glass, which can withstand rapid temperature changes. It also has a high resistance to thermal shock and does not release microplastics or other harmful substances.
“The choice of material makes the BIBS Baby Glass Bottle an uncomplicated and durable companion in everyday family life,” says the award jury. “We also like the clever modular design, which takes individual preferences into account.”
Also commenting on the award win is Henrik Larsen, CEO of BIBS Denmark.
“We are particularly proud to win knowing Red Dot judged us on making parenthood a tiny bit easier, day by day, combining great design, functionality, and durability. We established our business with the goal of bringing products with great design and functions to the market.
“Using a quote from the Red Dot announcement letter, ‘Winning is the Beginning.’ BIBS will continue producing high-quality products worthy of our Red Dot Product Design Award.”
