Children on a beach in front of a vintage-style caravan

Bobux’s s/s 24 collection aims to ignite the potential of every child while embodying science, which continues to play a key role in the anatomy of a Bobux shoe. The brand believes play and outdoor exploration are a necessity – a chance to learn new things, push boundaries and build confidence. The 2024 colours have been selected to drive unconscious feelings of balance, warmth and affection. Drawing on the influence of reductive design and focusing on what’s ‘essential,’ the collection offers a sense of function and fun.

Bobux partners with BLOOM®

New for 2024 is Bobux’s partnership with BLOOM® to create a more environmentally conscious range of products. BLOOM® transforms waste biomaterials such as algae into renewable and restorative materials that replace fossil fuel-based materials in footwear and other consumer products. BLOOM® materials aren’t just about reducing harm, however, they also give back to the environment.

The creation of BLOOM® materials results in the removal of over-abundant and harmful algae from our water, restoring clean and oxygenated water back to the environment. Repurposing waste algae into useful materials also prevents it from decomposing and releasing CO2 and other harmful greenhouse gases into our atmosphere, reducing carbon emissions and resulting in cleaner air

Bobux x BLOOM® will debut in Bobux’s iconic Grass Court, Hi Court and Marvel styles. The footbed of the Grass Court and Hi Court uses 20% BLOOM® Rise EVA and the outsole unit of the Marvel uses 20% BLOOM® Rise EVA, resulting in 1.4 to 3.2 litres of clean water per pair.

More natural materials than ever before

In addition to premium leather, Bobux’s range of materials is growing. The brand is extending its range to include organic cotton canvas, bamboo knit, merino knit and wool felt to offer several benefits for those who prioritise comfort, durability and sustainability

Organic cotton canvas is a breathable yet durable fabric that can withstand the wear and tear of daily use. Canvas shoes made from organic cotton are a popular choice among parents who are conscious of the impact of their purchase on the planet. Bamboo knit is a soft and sustainable fabric that is gentle on children’s feet. It is also naturally breathable and anti-bacterial, making it ideal to wear for extended periods.

Merino provides softness and warmth. However, it is also moisture-wicking and naturally odour-resistant, making it a practical option for children to wear in spring/summer too. Finally, the wool felt in Bobux’s Xplorer range is made from natural wool fibres with an added 30% polyester to make it more durable as well as offering insulating and natural moisture-wicking properties.

New to the range

Crafted from soft, breathable organic cotton with a single strap fastening, the Go Organic is easy on and easy off for little explorers. Featuring wool blend felt, a contrast leather heel counter, and an organic cotton lining and microsuede collar, is the new Marvel Felt. The flexible sole unit uses Bloom’s algae biomass for traditional petroleum-based EVAs. Also available again this season is Marvel, made from naturally soft leather for a vintage look and feel with a scuff-resistant suede toecap.

The Scamp Organic is another new addition. Equipped with typical Xplorer features such as a durable high flex sole, reinforced toecap and elasticated ankle opening, the Scamp is ideal for young cruisers. Made from a lightweight, breathable canvas, it is suitable for hot summer days, kindergarten play and holiday adventures.
