The Baby Products Industry Association (BPIA) has confirmed the BPIA Awards 2025 are open for entry. Previously known as the BANTAs, the awards are now open to all industry members and non-members. Furthermore, winners will be announced at the BPIA’s AGM event in Central London, which takes place on 17 June 2025. The event is free and open to both members and non-members to attend and includes free drinks and nibbles.
The BPIA Awards recognise excellence in the nursery sector and are judged by a panel of industry experts. Judges consider criteria that will likely make nursery products successful in stock ranges for retailers, as well as attractive to consumers. This includes safety, functionality, desirability and value for money.
Commenting is Julie Milne, the Association’s general manager. “These awards are very different from consumer awards, because they take into account specific elements of a product that the judges believe will make them retail effectively, as well as being safe and desirable to the consumer. For example, a fabulous new pushchair with an RRP three times higher than similar products might well win a consumer award for outstanding features, but the judges might consider it less marketable for retailers due to the prohibitive price point. It is because of this that colleagues in the industry place the BPIA Awards with such high esteem.”

Golden Rattle Awards
In addition, as part of the 2025 Awards, the BPIA is introducing its Golden Rattle Awards. These awards are to recognise exceptional contributions to the UK’s nursery industry. Anything from a sales agent who has gone above and beyond expectations to deliver exceptional service; a nursery retail assistant who has raised huge amounts of money for charity; or someone who has worked in the industry for many decades and made a significant contribution. There will be a maximum of three Golden Rattle Awards each year. It is free to nominate an industry colleague. To do so, please click here and place nominations by 16 May 2025.
