CIFF in Copenhagen is a prominent bi-annual event for the global fashion industry. While CIFF Kids, held concurrently, remains the leading kids’ trade show in Scandinavia, recent seasons have seen a shift towards a showroom-style format. Multi-brand groups such as Lux Kids and Brands4kids, and long-time exhibitor Serendipity Organics, view the three-day show as an extension of their showrooms, hosting appointments with visiting buyers. As well as kidswear, the trade show features menswear, womenswear, footwear, accessories and beauty brands, making it especially appealing to multi-product retailers. The venue also includes permanent showrooms, notably focused on footwear, with Scandinavian kids’ brands such as Angulus attracting significant interest. Here, we highlight some of our favourite exhibitors, both longstanding and new.

Serendipity Organics

Serendipity Organics (pictured above) offers clothing and accessories for newborns, babies, children and women, made from pure materials such as GOTS-certified organic cotton, soft baby alpaca and llama wool. The Danish-designed collection prioritises organic cotton and natural wool for comfort, driven by a commitment to care for children, the environment, and respect for human rights. Cotton garments are produced in India, while alpaca wool, chosen for its softness, is knitted by Bolivian collectives, ensuring high quality. Natural fibres benefit the environment, skin and wellbeing. The a/w 26 collection features delicate textiles, enduring designs, and a soft colour palette of rose, brown and green, including new shades Orchid, Soil and Moss. It includes woven shirts, dresses, brushed cotton, knit sweaters and soft leisure wear, with heavier corduroy for pants, jackets and dresses. Layering pieces such as T-shirts and leggings create a versatile foundation. We love the variety and colours of the crafted knitwear range in baby alpaca and llama wool, blending semi-handmade and hand-knit techniques.

Copenhagen Colors

Copenhagen Colors designs and produces high-quality, sustainable collections for children aged 0-12 years. The company uses organic and natural materials, prioritising eco-labelling, safety and social responsibility through GOTS- or OCS-certified factories, and makes items to order to avoid overproduction. Inspired by Copenhagen, the brand aims to stimulate children’s curiosity and creativity with playful, durable designs rooted in simplicity, colour and functionality. The a/w 26 theme is Love You to the Moon and Back, allowing Copenhagen Colors to play creatively with all its design DNA. Embroidered celestial icons adorn its iconic quilted jackets and gilets, which, alongside the familiar bow motif, have become so well known and loved. This season, the workwear denim adds a contemporary touch for boys, and new folkloric knits and prints for girls are also highlights.

Fliink

Fliink, founded in Denmark in 2022, aims to create durable, seasonless childrenswear with a playful yet timeless Scandinavian style. It offers high-quality, natural-fibre clothing for ages 1–7 years, designed with attention to detail and a focus on sustainability. The seasonal collections embody a strong Danish DNA, emphasising responsibility and a lighter footprint on the planet. This autumn, the theme is cosiness, with knitwear key for layering and comfort, ideal for play, rest and togetherness. Fliink constantly seeks responsible, innovative fibres to enhance comfort, functionality and good design. The autumn palette features burnt tones accented with a pop of red. This season’s print inspiration draws on folkloric motifs, including quirky teapots, hearts, polka dots, autumn fruit and ginghams. Hanevild

For Hanevild, nature, craftsmanship and childhood are closely intertwined. Each collection embodies the understated elegance of the Scandinavian wilderness inspired by gentle seasonal changes, the stillness of pine forests, and the lively spirit of local wildlife. Its designs are simple, timeless and authentically natural. The brand believes children’s clothing should be durable and free-spirited, with garments thoughtfully made to withstand play. Soft textures are combined with practical features. Committed to natural materials, collections use 100% organic cotton and non-mulesed merino wool, ensuring garments are gentle on the skin and the environment. Heritage also plays a vital role, with garments crafted to be passed down, creating stories and memories for future generations. Hanevild’s signature embroidered knits, often matched with accessories this season, are a favourite.

Indian Blue Jeans

Part of the Brands4Kids company, Indian Blue Jeans is a Dutch denim-based brand focused on cool dudes and fashion girls aged 4-16 years. Since 2014, it has created collections that are an energetic blend of contemporary timelessness with a hint of rebellious spirit. Denim is, and always will be, a staple in its collections, and alongside the denim styles this season sits a strong vintage sports aesthetic that taps into the super-casual looks for this demographic. Key motifs for girls include polka dots in different scales across knit and jersey, sports-stripe detailing on woven check bottoms, bubble-hem skirts, and American sports-influenced stripe jersey tops. For boys, alongside black, navy and grey marl, bright purple and acid yellow are key colours, with vintage sports graphic newsprint tees and stripe baseball jackets.

The New

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, The New was founded by Chris Lützen Petersen, Camilla Sejersen and Louise Paprika Clemmensen, driven by a shared goal of building a career centred on passion, energy and collaboration. What began in a basement quickly expanded into the Luxkids brand known today. It offers creative designs for 3-14 years, with younger ages catered for in The New Baby and The New Siblings collections. Recognised for bold designs and cosy, high-quality, sustainable clothing, the brand implements a five-year sustainability strategy (CSR) focusing on responsible supply chain management and premium materials. It combines all-over prints, graphic statements and comfortable fits to craft looks that express playfulness, strength and individuality. Four seasonal collections are released annually, along with small express drops and a core selection of timeless NOOS favourites such as jeans and wardrobe basics. This season, as well as the eye-catching changeant metallic bomber, we love the unisex checkerboard and stripe trousers and multiple bunny rabbit motifs for girls.
