Etta Loves, the brand of sensory baby essentials backed by scientific research, is continuing its commitment to supporting Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the UK with regular product donations.
Every month, Etta Loves donates sensory muslins and bonding squares to the units nominated by customers and social media followers. The ultimate aim is to offer support to parents and babies during their time in a NICU.
The muslins and bonding squares feature an exclusive ‘love heart’ print drawn by five children who started their lives in NICUs and are now thriving. Made from organic cotton, the sensory muslins in high contrast black and white patterns are designed to support babies’ cognitive and visual development between 0-4 months.
In 2023, Etta Loves donated over 3,000 muslins to 40 nominated NICUs across the country.
Meanwhile, the Etta Loves bonding squares support the connection between parents and their babies when they are in a NICU. One bonding square is kept against a parent’s skin and the other in the baby’s incubator. They are then swapped regularly.
The scent transference between the parent and child has been proven to be beneficial for developing a bond, even when separated, enabling poorly babies to connect with the smell of their parents and be comforted by it.
Customers and fans can nominate a neonatal unit to benefit from these donations by contacting hello@ettaloves.com, with Etta Loves reviewing the nominated entries every quarter. For further information on Etta Loves, please click here.
