The a/w 20 offering from Lilly + Sid sees the childrenswear brand look to the world of fantasy and fairytales. Harking back to a time before e-books and computer imagery, the collection celebrates the stories and illustrations of yesteryear; all in GOTS certified organic cotton fabrics.

Expect embroidery details featuring woodland creatures as well as florals for girls on vintage-inspired shapes. New techniques give a handcrafted feel to modern manufacturing, creating heirloom pieces to withstand everyday playdates.

A traditional colour palette has highlights of yellow ochre and green for a modern twist on woven, jersey and knitted garments.

Frill inserts, meanwhile, give a pretty silhouette to sleeves, necklines and yokes alongside contrast overlocking and embroideries. On-trend character dresses, pockets and leggings also feature, bringing the magic of dress-up to everyday wear.

 

 

Wording and characters combine in a stand-out graphics collection for baby and older boys.

Bears are a prominent storybook character and feature throughout the collection. Dinosaurs, monsters and lions are also included in new appliques, prints and embroideries for 0-8 years.

Elsewhere, sweatshirt graphics have a contemporary twist for the season with Exclamation Mark and Bear Head options across bestselling garment types. Also, look out for 3D character details on sleeves, pockets and hoods; all of which aim to encourage imaginative play.

 

 

A limited-edition woven check is available for boys and girls as well as a unisex tartan design. Contrast collars, smocking and appliques add a modern twist to this traditional fabric on lots of styles for Brother and Sister coordinated dressing.

Other new fabrics focus on texture including soft voile, cord and dotty jersey jacquard for girls. Cord also features across the boys’ collections along with a new neppy sweatshirting fabric that is both comfortable and cool.
