A woman sat at a desk writing in a diary at Fashion Law webinar - How to protect trademarks and designs post-Brexit

On Thursday 20 May from 5.00-5.30 pm, Fox Williams is holding a free webinar – How to protect trademarks and designs post-Brexit. Brexit has had an important impact on the protection of fashion trademarks and designs, which has created uncertainty.

Trademark rights are now treated differently. A brand owner may now be able to prevent the resale of items in the EU that are first marketed in the UK. Meanwhile, new UK fashion designs may no longer be protected in the EU. Equally, new EU designs may not be protected in the UK.

Topics that the webinar will cover are:
  • The new right to prevent the re-sale of UK fashion branded items in the EU
  • How to avoid losing the protection of your designs in the UK and EU post-Brexit
  • Practical tips and what action businesses should be taking to safeguard their fashion designs

There will also be an opportunity to raise questions with Fox Williams’ specialists in an open Q&A session.
