A young girl sat on a blue floor wearing pink Wellington boots by FitFlop

Footwear brand, FitFlop, has introduced WonderWelly™ kids’ Wellington boots. The small-scale version of the adult style shares the same tech but is biomechanically engineered for kids’ and toddlers’ feet to ensure they can move freely.

Commenting is Dr Kim Lilley, the in-house biomechanist for FitFlop. “Kids’ feet need footwear that won’t interfere with their natural development. So, these lightweight unisex wellies feature our WonderWelly™ kids’ sole. They have a wider, slimmer, lighter base while keeping all the adult WonderWelly’s comfort features: anatomically contoured cushiony footbeds, impact-absorbing ‘honeycomb’ cushioning in the heel, and springy ridges under the forefoot.”

The WonderWelly™ kids’ styles are available in bright and bold colourways.

Growing feet need footwear that won’t affect their natural development. The WonderWelly™ Kids Junior Ergonomic Wellington Boots feature a sole with a wider, slimmer, lighter base for more flexibility.

The roomy toebox also allows freedom to move and space to grow. The sole bends with kids’ feet so that they ‘feel’ the ground, helping with balance and coordination. Crafted from a soft and natural flexi-rubber mix, the boots are also slip-resistant thanks to an ergonomic tread design.

The WonderWelly™ Kids Toddler Ergonomic Wellington Boots focus on flexibility. The sole is ultra-flexible and the whole welly is made from a soft and natural flexi-rubber mix.

Like the Junior style, this means tiny feet can move however they want and can ‘feel’ the ground, supporting balance and coordination. Removable footbeds provide the right cushioning, and the tread design gives appropriate slip resistance. Like the Junior style, these wellies are also waterproof.
