On 25 April 2023, Fox Williams will hold an in-person Fashion Law Seminar in association with the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT). The seminar on contracts for the sale and purchase of goods in the fashion sector will take place at Fox Williams’ offices at 10 Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1AF.

During the seminar – ‘Contractus Interruptus – what can happen when contracts go wrong for seller, buyer, agent, and distributor’ − the speakers will cover the following topics:

  • The importance of terms and conditions of sale and purchase
  • What happens if there is force majeure, or a contract is frustrated
  • The impact that non-performance of a contract can have on each the seller, buyer, agent, and distributor

Steve Sidkin, partner at Fox Williams; Millie Pierce, associate, and Hannah McCullagh, an associate from the company’s Fashion Law Group, will lead the seminar. After the formal presentations, there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and then to network over drinks. Registration is at 6pm and the session will run from 6.30-7.30pm, with networking drinks and canapés from 7.30pm onwards.
