Ethical and organic children’s brand Frugi has been awarded Kids’ Brand of the Year in the Drapers Independent Awards 2019.
The Drapers awards celebrate the achievements of the very best independent fashion retailers from across the UK and Ireland as well as the bestselling brands that make them so successful.
This year the calibre of entries was exceptionally high, demonstrating the wealth of talent and innovation across the independent sector.
“It’s fantastic to have been awarded Kids’ Brand of the Year,” says Frugi CEO, Hugo Adams. “We have an amazing brand built by great people and we pride ourselves on how we work with our retailers. Our stockists are a key part of our Frugi Family and we have all grown together over the past 15 years.
“We’re delighted with the comments of the judges that show just how strong these relationships are. As we embark on the next phase of our growth plan, we look forward to continuing to strengthen these partnerships as well as welcoming new retailers into our Frugi Family. Exciting times ahead for everyone.”
Also commenting is Graeme Moran, Drapers’ head of content – fashion and features. “Independent retailers never fail to impress us and this year’s entries were no different. Whether it be their high standard of customer service, engaging store designs, a unique mix of brands or innovative use of digital and social media.
“The standard of entries was particularly high this year, which is remarkable considering the challenges facing fashion retail. It demonstrates the talent and innovation across the sector, as well as the passion and resilience of the UK and Ireland’s independent retailers. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.”
