It is with great sadness that we report that Richard Moody, sales director at David Luke since 2004, has passed away.

Richard died peacefully on Wednesday 26 February with his much-loved family by his side following a courageous battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

In a statement, David Luke’s managing director, Kathryn Shuttleworth, says: “Richard was a really well-known figure within the schoolwear market. Prior to becoming sales director at David Luke, he had been an agent for us and a number of other schoolwear brands since 1991.

“During his time with David Luke, Richard was a hugely popular person within the market, liked by all who met him. His positivity, energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and customers, colleagues and competitors-alike could not fail to enjoy his company.

“Richard continued to work right up until his death, determined to achieve normality and not focus on his condition. His dedication and purpose were evident every single day and his passion for his work and the industry will be sorely missed.”
