A display of toys at INDX Toy & Gift show

Taking place on the earlier dates of 14-15 March to boost accessibility to a wider audience of retailers, INDX Toy & Gift presented a diverse offering ranging from sustainable and eco-friendly toys and gifts through to global brands and licensed products.

Playing host to almost 70 exhibitors, the event attracted a mixture of childrenswear boutiques, specialist toy and gift retailers, department stores, garden centres, farm shops and leisure attractions.

Amongst this year’s new exhibitors were Hippychick, Abrams & Chronicle, Orange Tree Toys, The Carat Shop, Ziggle, Sheldon, Maped Helix and Connetix Tiles. Key returns, meanwhile, included Character Options, Hasbro, Spin Master, Depesche, Keycraft and Bigjigs.

Commenting on the show is Aimee Hill, Toy Selector at Playroom, the Toy Division at AIS.

“We were so pleased with the AIS Member turnout at this year’s show, alongside some fantastic returning independent visitors. The variety of toys and children’s gifts available offered something for everyone; especially with each exhibitor showcasing margin-boosting offers and specials. We are looking forward to 2024 and welcoming new faces – the show dates are coming soon.”

Best Dressed Stand winner – Bigjigs

Other highlights this year included the INDX Toy & Gift Best Dressed Stand competition, which was awarded to Bigjigs. Exhibitors also generously donated to a post-show toy collection to benefit three worthy causes.

Firstly, John Radcliffe Hospital’s Radio Cherwell Fundraising Prizes, which will use the toys to entertain and engage children receiving treatment. Also, Worcester Community Trust, which supports underprivileged families in and around Worcester, and the Karis Neighbour Scheme Birmingham Baby Bank.
