The Penguin Snowsuit by premium and sustainable outdoor kids’ brand, Isbjörn of Sweden, has won the prestigious Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test) award for the tenth consecutive year. The annual test is organised independently by the Scandinavian Online Test Institute Bäst-i-Test. However, it is children who rigorously try out the snowsuits.
During the Swedish winter months, children tested out the Penguin Snowsuit across various outdoor activities and in freezing temperatures and snowy conditions. The snowsuits were then evaluated by parents and teachers after months of use, with focus on durability, functionality and ease of use.
Isbjörn’s bluesign® approved Penguin Snowsuit was praised for its durability, functionality and extended use.
For instance, grow cuffs on arms and legs can extend by a further 3cm to grow with the child. The snowsuit can then be handed down to at least three younger siblings and friends. Alternatively, it can be sold on the second hand market.
Penguin also graded highly for its superior thermal performance and comfortable, spacious fit. Plus, water and abrasion resistance. Younger children loved that they could play in the snow for an extended period while remaining warm and dry. Penguin also gave them the independence to dress themselves, as taking it on and off is so easy.
The snowsuit offers durability, functionality and sustainable fabrics, including 100% recycled PrimaLoft insulation and fluorocarbon-free Bionic Finish Eco.
Commenting is Maria Frykman, founder and CEO of Isbjörn of Sweden. “Our Penguin Snowsuit has been going strong for more than 15 years – the embodiment of durability and slow fashion longevity. Winning this coveted Bäst-i-Test award for 10 consecutive years is testament to our team’s commitment to combining exceptional craftsmanship and sustainable practices, together with a deep passion for preserving the world’s natural wonders which inspire products such as Penguin Snowsuit.”
