A mother and daughter playing together in the garden - Joules ReWear

Joules has launched a new partnership with clothing platform Reskinned in a takeback and resale programme named ‘Joules ReWear’. The partnership will enable Joules customers to return any pre-loved Joules clothing, footwear or accessories, in any condition. Items will then be rehomed or otherwise responsibly recycled, helping customers ‘invest in our planet’ in line with the objectives of this year’s Earth Day.

Reskinned will power the takeback technology behind the Joules website. On returning their clothes, customers collect a voucher to receive money off their next Joules purchase.

Returned items will then be re-sold ‘good as new’, or otherwise repurposed or exported. The Joules ReWear re-sale platform is due to launch later this year, allowing shoppers to purchase those pre-loved items.

The partnership bolsters Joules’ commitment to operating responsibly and sustainably. It also supports the Group’s continued focus on delivering in line with its Responsibly Joules objectives; to benefit the environment, its employees and wider communities.

Commenting is Ruby Fowler, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Joules.

“We recognise the huge importance of doing what we can to reduce waste and improve the circularity of our industry. Reskinned’s efforts align closely with our own strategy and our wider Responsibly Joules framework. This sits at the heart of everything we do and will continue to be critical as we work hard to deliver value for all our different stakeholders into the future. We can’t wait to see the success that we hope this partnership brings.”

Nick Jones, CEO at Joules, adds; “As a business, we are wholeheartedly committed to minimising our impact on the environment and supporting positive change within our communities. Our products have always been high quality, making them perfect for hand-me-downs. But, through this partnership, we are delighted that we will now be able to offer our customers another sustainable way to trade the items that they’ve loved for a long time.”

Also commenting is Matt Hanrahan, CEO at Reskinned. “At Reskinned, we make it easy for brands and their customers to maximise the reuse potential of the many garments already out there. If we can’t reuse them, we’ll recycle them responsibly. It’s great to be working with Joules, who clearly share our commitment to creating a more sustainable and circular clothing future.”
