In response to the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) School Uniform Campaign, fashion brand Just Hype has partnered with the trade charity to donate 100 backpacks to vulnerable children and young people this autumn.
Families receiving a grant from FTCT throughout the summer have been issued with a code to redeem a free backpack and pencil case for their child. With 10 styles to choose from and free shipping, Just Hype hopes these bags can help financially vulnerable children from families working across the UK fashion and textile industry to feel school-ready this September.
Just Hype selected FTCT as its charity partner for this project after discovering its School Uniform Campaign. School uniform is just one of the many items funded by the Trust, which gives out over £350,000 in grants every year to help financially vulnerable families across the UK fashion and textile sector.
Commenting is Just Hype chief operations officer, Mike Thompson. “We are thrilled to partner with FTCT in an endeavour to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable young people. Our collaboration aims to provide essential backpacks to those in need during the crucial Back to School period.
“We believe that every child deserves the tools for a successful education and a brighter future. By joining forces with FTCT, we hope to inspire others in the industry to contribute to the wellbeing and education of young individuals. Together, we can make a real difference and pave the way for a better tomorrow.”
Also commenting on the partnership is Anna Pangbourne, CEO of FTCT.
“As a small charity, we simply don’t have the capacity to manage donated stock, so when Just Hype told us they could handle all the logistics, we jumped at the chance to say yes to this brilliant opportunity.
“The bags Just Hype has donated will really help our families, making their grant stretch further and giving financially vulnerable children the chance to go Back to School with a bag to express their unique personality.”
FTCT works in partnership with companies across the sector, including retail, manufacture, textiles and laundry services. Partners work with the Trust to both promote FTCT grants to sector employees and donate to support its work. New partners are always welcome. For further information on the Trust, please click here.
