Driven by the Portuguese organisations CENIT (Textile Intelligence Center) and ANIVEC (National Association of Apparel Industries), Kids Moda Portugal aims to raise the profile of sustainable children’s fashion in Portugal on a global scale.
Together with its eight member brands – Baby Gi, Knot, Laranjinha, Play Up, Pureté, Snug, Wedoble and Wolf&Rita – it seeks to highlight the positive impacts that fashion can have on the environment, people and the economy.
The initiative is committed to a safer and more sustainable future under the #togethertothefuture movement. With the seal of quality and sustainability associated with Portuguese production, Kids Moda Portugal is working to increase the international market value of sustainable production.
To reach buyers and distributors, the initiative places particular focus on the B2B growth of its member brands.
Portugal’s textile sector represents one of the country’s major drivers of development. Children’s fashion is one of its most dynamic branches. According to CENIT estimates, revenue from the baby and children’s fashion sector grew by approximately 6% between 2019 and 2021. It now stands at around 600 million euros.
Kids Moda Portugal is supported by CENIT and ANIVEC and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program Portugal 2020.
