Kidswear Collective x Mothers2Mothers

Kidswear Collective, the UK’s fastest growing consignment store for pre-loved designer baby and childrenswear, has partnered with mothers2mothers (m2m), a charity delivering life-changing health services and education to children, women and families in sub-Saharan Africa.

To kick off the partnership, Kidswear Collective is asking its network of stylish and high profile parents to donate any clothes their kids have grown out of to raise money for m2m. The clothes will be sold in-store at Fenwick of Bond Street ahead of Mother’s Day from 14-21 March and online via the Kidswear Collective website. All proceeds will go to support the inspiring work of m2m.

Each £1,400 raised could help to train an African mother living with HIV as a health worker – and each of these remarkable women will go on to reach thousands with vital health services and education.

Just some of the celebrities who have donated items so far include Rachel Riley, Vogue Williams, Daisy Lowe, Mary McCartney, Kate Lawler, Louise Roe, Jasmine Hemsley and Vanessa Kingori, with brands such as couture kidswear label Maison Ava also donating pieces.

The money raised will support m2m to continue its critical work ensuring children, mothers, families and communities across the African continent have access to the health care services and treatment they need.

M2m trains and employs women living with HIV as Community Health Workers – known as Mentor Mothers – who deliver integrated health services at clinics and in communities to ensure everyone, everywhere, gets the chance to be healthy and achieve their full potential. Since 2001, m2m has created 12,000 jobs for women living with HIV and together this unique sisterhood has reached more than 15 million people with vital health services and education.

Commenting on the partnership is Kidswear Collective founder, Shoshana Kazab.

When more than 600 million people on the African continent do not have access to the health care services they need, it is clear we are facing a crisis.

Through the simple act of buying from the sale, Kidswear Collective and Fenwick customers will become part of a powerful ripple effect – supporting the work of the m2m Mentor Mothers, ensuring they can reach more families and leave no one behind.”
