Kind + Jugend trade exhibition stands

Kind + Jugend 2020 will see the annual international trade fair for early childhood mark 60 years in business. The 2020 event, which takes place on 17-20 September, will also feature a newly optimised hall plan.

Seventy per cent of the show’s anticipated 1,200 exhibitors have already announced their participation, including many leading companies and brands. Response to the new hall plan has also been predominantly positive.

For its 60th anniversary edition, the event will take place in halls 2 and 3 on the Cologne fair grounds instead of hall 4.1.  As a result of the incorporation of halls 2 and 3, the previous Entrances East and West can now be used with the corresponding facilities. As well as Entrance West, both halls can be reached from hall 11 and the Piazza. Plus, the show will now take place over two hall levels rather than three.

The new hall allocation for 2020 aims to provide a better overview, clearer attribution, shorter routes and optimised quality of stay.

Other plans for Kind + Jugend 2020 include the trade show’s event programme. Invitations to participate in the Innovation Award and the Kids Design Award have now been sent. Applicants can submit their entries for the Innovation Award until the end of June and for the Kids Design Award by the beginning of June.

In addition, Kind + Jugend will once again include the Trend Forum. Here, visitors can view presentations for the Innovation Awards and Kids Design Award on the first day of the show.

The Trend Forum will also play host to lectures and presentations on current global trends around baby and toddler outfitting. Taking place throughout the trade fair, themes will include product marketing and target groups. In honour of Kind + Jugend’s 60th anniversary, there will also be a special exhibition at the show.

Exhibitor signings for the 2020 fair are currently strong across all segments, despite the present situation.

Koelnmesse is preparing for a successful Kind + Jugend 2020 in six months time. However, should the event be postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus, Koelnmesse will refund visitors’ tickets. Payments already made will also be reimbursed to exhibitors who do not wish to take part in a possible revised date.
