A display of children's accessories and toys on a stand at Kind + Jugend 2023

Kind + Jugend 2023 drew around 15,000 trade visitors from 113 countries to this year’s edition in Cologne. Taking place on 7-9 September, the show also played host to 974 exhibitors from 46 countries, a considerable increase on 2022’s figures of 480 exhibitors from 37 countries.

Commenting is Oliver Frese, COO of Koelnmesse. “We have achieved all our goals and sent a clear signal to the entire industry. The results show that Kind + Jugend is the definitive platform for presenting, discussing and marketing new innovative products and ideas. This is how a trade fair should be.”

Boasting an international share of 92% for exhibitors and 76% for visitors, this year’s trade fair was also the most global to date. The majority of visitors came from Europe, with the Netherlands, Great Britain, Poland and Italy leading the way.

Higher visitor figures were also recorded for the US, Taiwan, China and the United Arab Emirates. The number of visitors from Germany increased by 31% in comparison to the previous year, too. Summing up the trade fair, Jörg Schmale, director of Kind + Jugend, adds: “The atmosphere was phenomenal, we have achieved a major breakthrough.”

The next edition of Kind + Jugend will take place on 3-5 September 2024. For further information, please click here.
