Kit & Kin, the eco-friendly brand co-founded by Emma Bunton, is set to celebrate Black Friday differently this year by investing in a ‘Greener Tomorrow’. Taking a stand against this period of overconsumption, Kit & Kin will encourage a moment of calm to focus on what is truly important.
As part of the brand’s #NotBlackFridayButGreenerTomorrow campaign, which reflects its strong eco-credentials, the team will be turning off all advertising. This money will instead go towards protecting more acres of rainforest through the World Land Trust.
Commenting on the Greener Tomorrow initiative is Kit & Kin co-founder, Emma Bunton.
“I am so proud to have co-founded a brand that is truly making a difference to our world. Our eco-credentials are a key part of who we are and protecting the planet for our children and the generations that follow is vital.
“This year, in particular, we just knew we had to do something a little different. We hope our campaign will encourage everyone to avoid getting wrapped up in the Black Friday chaos and instead look beyond to what we hope will be a greener tomorrow; for the future of all our families.”
All year round, every product purchased from the brand gives back through the Kit & Kin Foundation. This helps to protect acres of threatened rainforest; a vital ecosystem that provides clean air, lifesaving medicines, and safe havens for some of the world’s most endangered species.
The foundation also supports women and children living in these areas with educational scholarships, family planning clinics and healthcare.
