Natalie Ward, founder of Latched

Natalie Ward, founder of Latched, the pre and postnatal activewear brand, has been named Start-up Entrepreneur of the Year (Southeast) at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. Launched in 2012, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the best of British enterprise.

Taking place at Grosvenor House in London on 22 November, the ceremony in partnership with Starling Bank saw 159 entrepreneurs across the UK recognised for their achievements over the last year. This year, after taking place virtually in 2020, the awards comprised all eight regional shortlists for the first time. The guest list included 1,200 entrepreneurs, judges, mentors, investors and partners.

Pre and postnatal activewear brand Latched provides support to both new and expectant mums.

An affordable, comfortable and versatile range, Latched supports women to keep active and feel confident from birth and beyond. Commenting on the accolade, Ward says; “I am just over the moon to have won this award. Starting up a business is no mean feat. Add two children under two into the mix and it is utter madness, but it hasn’t stopped me.

“I am so proud of what I have achieved with Latched in a small space of time. I could not be happier that I took the plunge to create my own brand of pre and post-natal fitness wear. To have the hard work and early success recognised by this national awarding programme is truly the icing on the cake.”

The judging panel included industry experts and leaders of influential UK businesses, including prize winners from previous years. For further information on Latched, please click here.
