Lelli Kelly is celebrating 30 years of success with the reissue of its first major success, the Frangetta Mix style, never sold before in the UK and Ireland.

The cult shoe was originally launched between 1992 and 1993. Following an important advertising campaign, it became a must-have in Italy. To mark this prestigious anniversary, the brand is reissuing the iconic style with two new features.

Firstly, the new release gives a nod to eco-sustainability. The upper material is made with the addition of apples from Trentino-Alto Adige following processing for the food industry.

The apple scraps, which would otherwise be discarded, are sent to a Florence-based manufacturer. There they are used to create innovative and sustainable materials. This limited edition line comprises a total of one thousand pairs of shoes, each duly numbered from 1 to 1.000.

 

 

In terms of aesthetics, the new Frangetta Mix trainers are an exact replica of the 90s model, characterized by a special fringe – “Frangetta” in Italian – combined with an original trim with floral patterns. The Lelli Kelly brand and logo also appear in the original vintage version.

This Italian technology is also used to create a special capsule collection of school shoes.

Here, the insole and inside lining are made with the new eco-material. The upper, meanwhile, features Lelli Kelly’s characteristic premium quality soft leather, which ensures both comfort and durability.

 

 

Elsewhere, Lelli Kelly is presenting an original release of its Sparkly Shoes, the iconic product which made the Italian brand famous on an international level. The shoes are embellished with hand-sewn decorations of colourful beads, rhinestones and sequins, with each shoe being handcrafted and unique.
