Taking inspiration from the magic of nature, the new a/w 24 collection by Lilly + Sid sees characters old and new discover marvels and mystery amongst the flora and fauna of planet Earth.

Lilly can be found amongst trees and flowers that change colour and shape through the seasons. Familiar friends Buzzy Bee and Loki Ladybird are back to meet new characters from the nighttime skies, including Olive Owl and Peggy the flying horse.

Meanwhile, Nature Fairy makes her debut this season to bring planet-friendly messages to protect and preserve. A giant white rabbit called Wilda also appears and gives Lilly a ride through the enchanted forest.

Sid has an equally magical time this season, as he meets new friend Desmond Dragon amongst the shimmering stars. Alongside prints, the dragon character also features as pockets, sleeves and hoods, bringing the magic of dress-up into everyday wear. Other nighttime creatures include Freddie Fox and Buxton Badger.

 

 

Although special enough for smarter events, all garments are designed for play.

Highlights include comfort-fit waistbands and cuffs, nickel-free popper fastenings, and envelope and button necks. Heavier weight 200g jersey fabrics retain their shape, and all garments are machine washable. The addition of linings to woven trousers, skirts and dungarees also ensure comfort and durability.

Attention to detail creates new reasons to buy this season, including embroidered and printed cord, character pockets, detailed appliques and interactive designs. All colours are inspired by nature, tying in with the brand’s GOTS certified organic cotton fabrics and eco-friendly dyestuffs.

 

 

Key fashion shapes this season include dungarees and dungarompers in a variety of prints, fabrics and colours.

Multi-pack essentials allow for layering up in cooler weather. All-over prints continue for boys, with printed sweats making a statement worn together or with coordinating separates. A-line pinafore dresses contrast with full skirts and tiering for 0-8 years.

New for girls this season is an organic cotton knitted cardigan and party dress made from recycled fabrics, which is ideal for special occasions, but also designed to be worn the whole season through.
