Little Green Radicals embarks on a new circular economy initiative with SuperLooper
Ethical childrenswear brand Little Green Radicals is teaming with pre-loved baby clothing rental service SuperLooper to launch a new circular economy inspired initiative. The collaboration builds on the organic and Fairtrade brand’s work to reduce its impact on the environment, which already includes turning recycled plastic bottles into rainwear as well as using plastic-free biodegradable bags.
SuperLooper, a Brighton-based not-for-profit, was set up in 2019 by Jenny Barrett. The service keeps unused baby clothes in circulation and reduces waste, overconsumption and unnecessary negative impact on the environment. Rental costs around £20 per month, with a typical clothing bundle including babygros, vests, sleepsuits, daywear and also outdoor clothing.
How it works
Little Green Radicals’ customers return out-grown clothes from the brand via Freepost and SuperLooper checks and grades them. Little Green Radicals then uses this grading to give its customers money back on their next spend with the brand. SuperLooper, meanwhile, adds the pre-loved clothes to its ‘library’ ready for its customers to rent.
Commenting on the collaboration is Nick Pecorelli, founder of Little Green Radicals. “For Little Green Radicals, ethics are at the core of what we do, and we are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint. Our partnership with the amazing SuperLooper team takes us another step in that direction. We want to play a big part in shaping the new circular economy. We are delighted to be working with SuperLooper to do this.”
Jenny Barrett, founder of SuperLooper, adds; “Over the past two years our service has grown to encompass the whole of the UK. Little Green Radicals has supported our mission from the get-go and played a huge part in our journey. This collaboration is evidence of its commitment to waste reduction and its extended producer responsibility and means its loyal fans can be part of our wonderful SuperLooper community too.”
