Childrenswear brand Lola Starr is taking a step closer to circular fashion by making its tartan Christmas dress available to rent this season. After using the dress, customers can then return it to be enjoyed by another child year after year.

Furthermore, Lola Starr’s unique designs mean the tartan Christmas dress offers several looks. This is because all Lola Starr dresses feature removable and interchangeable sleeves.

By detaching the sleeves via the branded snap fastenings, they can be replaced with other sleeves from the Lola Starr collection. The fully lined tartan dress, which is manufactured in the UK, is made from brushed cotton and features a back zip fastening. Sizes are for ages 4-10 years.

The customer keeps the dress for the festive period, returning it by recorded delivery 14 days after receiving it. The price to rent the dress is £25 plus a £10 deposit. Deposits are refunded once Lola Starr receives the dress back and the garment is in good condition.

Lola Starr’s expansion into clothing rental is a move towards helping prevent waste in the clothing supply chain. It also encourages innovation in resource-efficient design and supports consumers in adopting more sustainable behaviours.
